Wow, another year has gone by. And what a year it has been. Looking back, I've done quite a bit. I thought 2005 was busy, but 2006 was even busier.
Let's just highlight a few things...
1) My team at work has pretty much turned over. Only 4 of us have been with the team for more than a year...
2) My manager left. A boss I will always think fondly of.
3) I finally got my window seat. :o)
4) I went to Hawaii for 10 days and Burbank for 6 days to open new stores.
5) I worked 6 weeks straight without a day off...
6) I moved to Belltown.
7) I've made more this year than I ever have in my life. But have no idea where my money went.
8) I've met some of the most interesting people. Many of those I hope to remain close to, for I know they are people who will enrich my life.
I'm sure there's more, but too much to mention them all. Hopefully next year will be just as exciting. If not, I feel I might get bored...
What else is there in life if not adventure...
Thoughts about things that shape my world, inspire my creativity, and drive my need to learn more.

Photos
So this is one of my favorite pictures. It's taken from the top of Whistler. I climbed to the top of a snow hill and the clouds blocked enough sunlight to bring out the blueness of the snow. It was a beautiful day. You can't help but feel at peace when all you see around you is the tops of mountians. The closest city being 1 mile down and a small blimp in a landscape of nature.
Can't wait to go back up and take more pics. I should be back up at the end of Jan or later this month. Cross your fingers...

Another Day...
Thurs Dec 7th, another Friday coming up. Only 2 weeks till Christmas and then 1 more week after that till the New Year. Where does all the time go?
I have to admit it's been a pretty crazy year. I done a lot. Went to Hawaii and California. Not to mention Whistler, Mission Ridge, and Crystal Mountian for Snowboarding. Worked 6 weeks straight without a day off. Try to balance 2 jobs with major changes in both. It's been a pretty crazy year.
But all of that is in the past and the snow is here. Time to start Snowboarding and getting back into shape. Went up for the first time last Sat. Beautiful day to go too. A little crowded, but it was nice for my first day up. Didn't want to push myself too hard. Hopefully I can get back into the habit of going up 2 nites a week, though it did take a nice chunk out of my pocket just for gas. Plus the mileage on my car is starting to get up there. 23k miles in 15 months. I think it's a little high. Probably doesn't help its been up to Whistler and back plus Mission Ridge and many trips to the Summit.
So a friend mentioned I should add pics to my blog. I agree, I need pics. I just need to figure out how to add them. It like I never have time for anything. I have list of things I need to research, learn, read up on, fix, do, etc. And there is never enough time in the day or week for all of it.
Guess I should get to bed. Can't be a good recruiter if I don't get my sleep...

November is Here...
You know it's fall in Seattle when the weather changes and the rain starts to fall. But this year it's a little different. The rain is coming down in buckets and the wind is blowing like crazy. Just walking from my car to the office is another shower. It's actually relaxing to watch the rain pouring down while inside the office. Makes me glad I have a window cube. They say the weather should be like this till the weekend. Hopefully its snowing in the mountians....

Halloween...
Halloween used to be one of my favorite times of the year, but after too much sugar and no cool costumes, I think I grew out of it. I guess it now represents the end of summer. So sad, but so cool in another way. With the passing of summer and fall, we come into winter. Winter = Snow = Snowboarding :o) A chance to kill myself once again. Though the feeling of freedom flying down a beautiful powder bowl at 30 miles an hour is well worth it.
So if anyone wants to join me on the slope. I welcome you. I started teaching last year, and learned to invest in some impact shorts or better known as "ass pads" for you newbies out there.
Think Snow!

Thurs...
I was showing this blog to a friend and realized it had been over a month since I last wrote. Geez, I'm terrible at keeping up with this. So my new goal is to make a entry everyday, even if it isn't as interesting as I could make it. I think I just need to get in the habit of writing something everyday. It's not like I don't have the time. I guess I'm just lazy.
So last nite, the club near my apartment, Tabella, was bumping again. I hadn't heard of this club till I moved essentially across the alley to it. It seems to be busy Wed through Sun. So strange. Apparently it's suppose to be a pretty "hot" club. Unfortunately, after growing "old", I haven't had the urge to hit the clubs anymore. Though I am interested in seeing what the club looks like on the inside.
c'est la vie - what a cool term. Means, "what can you do"...
Ok, guess that's it for now. I should go back to work....

It's been a while....
Wow, it's been a month since I wrote in this Blog. Funny how the time flies when you're really busy. So since my last post, I've moved into a apartment in Belltown. It's really cool. Small, but it fits me perfectly. :o)
Works been getting pretty busy. Though, still not busy enough for me. I guess I'm so used to working under pressure, that when there isn't any, I can't seem to stay on task. But I'm moving into a different area and things should be picking up soon.
The new iPod was released on Tues 9/12. It's pretty cool. Cheaper than the last one and now in different colors. So I'm selling my black one and bought a green one. Though I really want the larger iPod, I don't know if I would actually use it to it's full extent.
I really need to stop spending money. Time to start saving and re-building my reserves. Though I'm thinking about a TV for my room and the new Wii, XBox 360, or the PS3.... Oh so many choices and so many new toys....
Till next time....

Why....
So after 3 weeks of working, I still don't see a day off in sight. "Maybe in Sept" is the rumor. I do enjoy working, but sometimes I just need a day off to do nothing. But I am making money, so that's definitely a plus. Unfortunately, all that money is spoken for in the way of Credit Cards. Gotta pay those off some day. Don't know what I bought with them, probably a lot of crap I didn't need. (But wanted)
So hopefully I can make enough money to fund my trip to Whistler in Feb, my season pass to the Summit, and make the monthly payment for the apartment I'm looking for.
As for the apartment hunting.... This is where I need advice. How much do I want to spend on a apartment? I was thinking of $1800 for a 2 bedroom, but if I figure in the other expenses, utilities, parking, cable, etc., it comes out to over $2100/month. Which is a little more than I'm willing to spend. I could be living in the condo I could have bought earlier this year for that amount. Is $1800 too much, or is it just right.....

Another Day...
So another weekend passes. It was a busy weekend in Seattle. With the start of Seafair, we can expect a month of activities around the area. As it happens, this weekend was the Seafair Torch Light Parade and the Bellevue Art's and Craft's Fair. Two major events on opposite sides of the water. I had to work all weekend, so I was bummed I wasn't able to hit the fair.
The fair will always be a fond memory. Many years working in Bellevue Square tends to gather many memories. The fair was an excuse to over indulge ourselves in fair food. Funnel cakes, Strawberry Shortcake, Kettlecorn, Corn on the Cobb... Oh the good old days when we didn't have to worry about gaining weight on what we eat.
So next weekend is the Hydroplane races on Lake Washington. I have a pair of tickets for the Party Barge. Unfortunately, I can't go now.... So hopefully I'll be able to sell them and make some money back. The Hydro's are pretty cool. Jet engines attached to two pontoons, going 200+ mph. Pretty fast.....
Okie Dokie, time for bed.

Crazy Mind....
So, this Blog will be a place for all my random thoughts so that, hopefully, some will one day feel they were interesting enough to turn them into a book....
The term Jenn-ism's was coined by a close friend of mine. I have an issue pronouncing some words and sometimes I just make up my own. So one day I was talking with her and said a word I thought was perfecty normal and in the dictonary. She started crackin up and asked if that was another Jenn-ism.
There you go.... Now you're probably a little scared, but curious to what else I might have in this strange mind of mine..... :o) Stay tuned. I'm sure I'll make another posting later today.
